Recycling textiles stylishly into beautiful things

About Me

I had my first exhibition at Dartington Cider Press Centre in Devon in 1999. I originally trained in horticulture which is evident in my earlier creations of Titania like headdresses and tiaras vibrant with natural materials of seedheads, shells, lichens, feathers and moss like embroidery for woodland or ocean inspired brides.

I also produce historical headpieces like the popular 1920s flapper style headdress and was commissioned to make reproductions of 1930s and 1950s style headdresses for the National Trust publication 'Marriage a la mode'.

My favourite commissions, however, are the ones where I am given vintage fabrics and cherished items to incorporate into the headpiece so their precious meaning can be enhanced into a beautiful, wearable form of art.
